Projects

Everything on this page is built by one person, between rides and my work. Some of it is finished, some of it isn’t, all of it exists because I wanted it for myself first.

Ride Studio

This one started with my YouTube videos. I wanted to show my rides properly, not just a static map screenshot, so I built a replay: upload a GPX track and it animates the ride over the map, with speed and elevation traced along the route. You can pin photos and videos to the spots where they happened, then export the whole thing as a video for YouTube or wherever you post.

I built it for my own rides. Turns out it works for yours too.

Status: live and working. It’s free right now while I figure out what it should become. Try it, and if something annoys you, tell me. That’s genuinely useful.

Bike computer app

I wasn’t happy with the head units I’ve used, so I’m building my own. It runs on my handlebars now, on my rides, which is the only test that counts. If it holds up through a Berlin winter, an Android version for everyone else is next.

Status: in development. No promises on dates. I’m not a big planner.

More to come

There’s a long list of ideas in a drawer somewhere. Most won’t survive contact with an actual ride. The ones that do will show up here.
